2 years since creating my largest commission piece!
At the Spring 2019 edition of the Asia Contemporary Art Show in Hong Kong, I met a client who commissioned me to create a global cityscape piece of New York. Little did I know at the time that this would become one my largest commission project to date, taking close to 700 hours over 4 months. The response over the past 2 years has been overwhelmingly incredible, and has become one of my most popular prints. New York for a long time has been one of my favourite cities, and over the years I have drawn it in many different styles and incorporated parts of it into different works. However for me this piece was my most spectacular take on the city that never sleeps, showing the 5 Boroughs in more detail than I had done before.
The original now sits 50 floors up in downtown Manhattan overlooking the Hudson River.
